When a woman kills a man for infidelity or abuse it is considered a crime of passion. When a man does the same, it is murder! As an example, Jean Harris killed Dr. Herman Tarnower back in the ’80’s when she was just about to be traded in for a new lover. She was arrested and convicted of this heinous crime. Later released from prison by the NY state Governor because it was considered a crime of passion. Back in the ’90’s a Dominican business man killed his wife-to-be on the day she was about to marry another man. He was called a monster, has been imprisoned since the ’90’s but his crime was not labeled a crime of passion.
Does the term “Crime of Passion” only apply to women??
