Mt Vernon Mayor Richard Thomas announces $1 million in new funding for Housing in Mt Vernon.

The grants given to Habitat for Humanity & Westchester Residential Opportunities will revitalized Mt Vernon.

The monies will be shared among several organizations who are implementing programs and initiatives that will addressing homelessness, homebuyer assistance and home rehabilitation. The funds are issued via the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development’s HOME Funds and must be allocated solely towards housing-related issues.
