Fire at a Yonkers Nursing Home

IT ISN’T LOCAL UNLESS IT’S YONKERS VOICE!!!

Where: Nursing Home at 185 Palisade Ave – Yonkers

YFD responded to the above address on a report of a fire. The fire was located in a room but the hallways were full of smoke. Everyone was evacuated but were able to return to their rooms except for the occupant of the room where the fire started,  fortunately there  was no one in the room.
How the fire started is still unknown but the Assistant Fire-Chief said that it looks like it may have been electrical.
No one was injured.
