ITS NOT LOCAL IF IT’S NOT YONKERS VOICE!!!
The Yonkers Voice was invited to sit with 17th district legislator Virginia Perez.
Virginia was pleased to announce a bi-partisan bill whereas Westchester county has successfully
made the sale of synthetic Marijuana BANNED. The bill has been signed by county executive Robert Astorino who wasn’t available for immediate comment.
We asked Virginia why was this the target of a bill, she informed us of the severity this drug and its affects have.
For one, when an overdose is called in to emergency services, treatments are not available. Too many ingredients in the contraband.
The synthetic drug is less expensive and can be obtained by all ages, especially our youth. All local businesses will be receiving communication from the county of Westchester to remove said products from the shelves.
A new piece of legislation is currently in the works In honor of the Nolan family it will be labelled the Michael Nolan Bill..
Viewers of the Voice will recall not so long ago that a Yonkers native Michael Nolan was shot fatally over a drag race.
Legislatures are currently working on harder laws to those who want to drag race on the streets of Westchester.
Aiming to discourage anyone who coordinates races, is involved with or participates in Drag racing.
Virginia expressed enthusiasm as this bill too is being worked on in a friendly bi-partisan way. Virginia takes keeping Westchester citizens safety as a key priority.
In closing our interview I asked Virginia about her would be opponent London Reyes self proclaimed King of Nodine Hill.
Virginia noted that people are elected and not anointed positions. With that said, she encourages all people run for office.
If Reyes makes the ballot is happy to debate him. Editors note: Their is a pending investigation that Reyes may have assaulted Perez during the Democratic National committee. It may be impractical for a debate if an order of protection is awarded to Perez. According to Perez their’s a pending investigation with the Yonkers Police.
When we addressed the latest piece- of the Perez administration as being harrassive to political opponents, Perez stated ” those who feel harassed should call 911 and file a report.
The Yonkers Voice viewed text messages from a character to Perez we agreed not to disclose the party’s name due to a personal nature, but will tell you it was ALARMING!
We hope you enjoy the video and remember to JOIN our ” YONKERS VOICE CENTRAL ” group on Facebook.
