Drowning man at the JFK Yonkers Marina saved by good Samaritan

IT ISN’T LOCAL UNLESS IT’S YONKERS VOICE!!!
Date: 07/14/18
Time: 6:35am
Where: JFK Marina

Yonkers, NY: YPD/Empress EMS responded to the Yonkers JFK Marina early this morning on a report of ” Multiple people in the Water ” in distress.
BUT, this is the STORY: A young man decided to go for a swim in the river, after a few strokes he was having difficulty returning to shore, and our YV friend and HERO Nina Ramos who happen to be at the Marina with her friend saw the man in distress and jumped in to save the man but she was also having difficulty returning to shore due to heavy current and start screaming for help, her friend then also jumped in the water and I believe that a Yonkers retired Police Officer that also happen to be at the scene helped bring this young me to shore.

If it wasn’t for the quick reaction of those 3 good Samaritans, this young man would not be among us at this time.

Nina Ramos: YOU & YOUR FRIEND ARE HEROES!!!!
